Kelly Lange: Former TV Anchorwoman
Sexy, Smart, Funny On New Program

Greetings!

Welcome to tvla.com. This site is a work in progress, but its goal is to be an appointment site for news and information on Los Angeles television. Reader feedback is encouraged. I envision the site as a place to find not only current news, but also rich and colorful histories on Los Angeles television stations and the pioneers and personalities that put them on the air. Everyone who took part in Los Angeles television’s early years has stories to tell and we’d like to share them here. With your help, a "where are they now" section will offer an A to Z listing on personalities and programmers, past and present, and what they are up to today.

There will also be links to all the local TV stations, the TV networks, and a link to my colleague and good friend Don Barrett at "Los Angeles Radio People" (laradio.com) who has encouraged me to pursue my dream.

Who am I? I am the radio columnist for the Orange County Register newspaper, with a column appearing every Sunday in our Show section. It’s accessible at the newspaper Web site ocregister.com.

I also produce a weekly television show "The Pet Place" (7 a.m. Saturdays on KDOC-TV, Channel 56, Irvine-Los Angeles). The program, which finds homes for adoptable animals, is in its 8th year. I am a member of Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters and actively support animal and environmental organizations, including The Ark Trust and Alicia"s Animal Haven, a new foundation being established by actress Alicia Silverstone. With my business partner Missy Will, I have co-produced and co-written a historical video for Actors & Others for Animals and a TV documentary on pet overpopulation called "Why Don’t You Love Me?’’
